Middlewich Road/Cotton Field Road, Holmes Chapel

Reported via mobile in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 11:08, Tuesday 3 October 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5056269.

The trees next to the road have reached a height that is now dangerous, the pictures attached show 2 very large branches that were removed on28/09/23 by the management company which will be at an additional cost to the residents. The final picture shows 2 rotten branches which fell on the pavement leading to the pedestrian crossing. I have consulted the parish council and they have stated the strip of land the trees are situated on appears to belong to the Highways. This is the main pedestrian access to the estate which is used by many children commuting to school. The debris falling from these trees is getting dangerous as the size of branches seems to be increasing. Having lived in the street for over 5 years I can confirm this issue has escalated significantly in the past 18months.
