Speed humps
Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 21:19, Friday 29 September 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5045972.
Speed humps used as traffic calming on Edmund Wright Way are no longer appropriately painted with the white warning chevrons as it has worn off over time due to usage. Vehicles do not slow down and drivers cannot distinguish the speed humps. The route is used as a safe walking route to Malbank School and Millfields Primary School with many pupils cycling on the road or walking on the adjacent pathways. There have been incidents of drivers swerving in the road as they try to avoid the impact, which could result in incident or injury to pedestrians, and others drivers.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
