Gully 790116449 on Varey Road (UY1057) in Congleton West

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 12:18, Sat 9 September 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4975337.

The grid outside our premises at the END of the cul-de-sac of Varey Road is full. Your people came out last week, looked at the WRONG grid, and drove off! We have had our yard and inspection pit flooded during both of the last thunderstorms because these grids are not taking as much water as they should. We are now expecting another thunderstorm today and it will be no surprise if we are flooded in our garage yet again on monday morning. These two grids get ALL the stormwater from the trading estate because they are situated, like ourselves, at the bottom of the estate an all the water flows in that direction so every time there is a storm all the silt and debris also flows into these grids which is why they are now filling up and therefore cannot take any more stormwater which will then flow into my yard and we are sick of it.
