Across from the junction with Thorngrove and Macclesfield Rds

Reported via desktop in the Noise or Vibration category anonymously at 13:49, Fri 8 September 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4972907.

The manhole cover has become extremely noisy every time something drives over it. It’s obviously badly aligned and continually clangs loudly. As we sleep in the front of our home it’s become a major annoyance especially in the evening.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.

  • Responsibility for the issue you have reported sits with a utility company. We have contacted them and asked that they undertake maintenance.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
