Cavendish Close and Bluebell Mews Retirement Apartments
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 17:27, Saturday 26 August 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4930064.
When it rains heavy our car park and 2 entrances to our apartments get flooded from water not going down grids and consequently flooding our properties.
I have reported this previously and was inspected by the council and no further action was decided.
I’m sorry but this cannot go on! Something has got to be done please.
After the water subsides I have to clear up all the debris that flows with the water.
Please try and do something. Also the water down Bluebell Lane floods plus it lifts our sewage grid and subsequently sewage comes out of it.
Many thanks, Mrs Anne Pierce 8 Bluebell Mews

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

This is not part of the adopted highway network, so we do not maintain it. You can search for the roads we maintain on our gazetteer: https://maps.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ ce/ adoptedroadsgazetteer/ Search.aspx. The adjacent landowners are usually responsible for maintenance. You should either contact them or the local Residents Association to let them know about the problem. We are unable to pass on details about the landowner, but you can find out information about them through The Land Registry: https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry

The list might change due to issues such as weather events, so you should check it for any updates.
