There is a major safety issue outside the King's Head Pub on Byrons Lanne when the pub is open. due to cars being parked on the road opposite the pub, since the pub carpark was built on, there is in effect only a singlr trasck road. This often means that cars heading towards Sutton are mounting th pavement. The pub has seating which encroaches on to the pavement. There are also often children playing on the pavement, presumably with parents / carers who are using the pub. I have witnessed a number of incidents over recent weeks where people have almost been hit by vehicles. The problem is particularly problematic at weekends. I would suggest that parking restrictions be introduced to deal with this situation before a tragedy occurs.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
