All street lights are out! A34 and River Bollin footpath! 3 years!

Reported via mobile in the Light Out category anonymously at 22:32, Sat 5 August 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4862271.

I’m very confused to why my previous report at this location has been taken down as if these street lights have been repaired? They’re all still not working apart from one light! These lights on the footpath and A34 went out in 2020 and still aren’t working. I was told in February that I would be contacted regarding the works that are supposedly scheduled to correct the electricity supply issue, I’ve heard nothing and we are now in August. I’m very concerned that these lights are not going to be repaired for the darker nights in autumn meaning yet again residents cannot use the public footpath at night, especially in icy conditions. Recent roadworks were carried out around this location so I assumed they’d be repaired then whilst the work force was in the road yet nothing has been done? Several members of the public have reported these faults yet all reports have been taken down. This is a high collision hotspot and these lights need to be working, it’s been three years. Council tax in the local area is through the roof yet street lights don’t work on the main busiest road through Wilmslow? It doesn’t make any sense and is highly frustrating at this stage now. Please can this finally be sorted in time for autumn? Thank you.
