Corner of St Austell and Birtles Road

Reported via desktop in the Gritting and Grit Bins category anonymously at 13:37, Thu 20 July 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4808071.

Since November 2021 the grit bin on the corner of St Austell and Birtles Road has been empty. Although this has been reported several times (3148706 & 4113662) it still remains empty. Just because you have removed the road gritting does not give Cheshire East the right to also remove the grit bin from being filled. We're now in July, can this be filled before the frost, ice and snow arrives? If this is not completed by end September I shall be removing a council tax payment to fund buying grit.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
