Footpath between Woodside Drive and Old Mill Road, Sandbach
Reported via desktop in the Grass Cutting category anonymously at 15:47, Sun 4 June 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4629835.
Copied from email I sent to my Ward Councillor, Sam Corcoran.I have looked at various sites on the Cheshire East website to lodge to report the condition of this footpath. It’s not adj to the road or, I don’t think a registered public footpath, so decided to email you as my Ward Councillor. The path is very overgrown, mainly with nettles, to a height of approx 110/120 cm. In previous years, a border of approx 40 cm has been cut on both sides. Seem to recall at the same time as the triangle of grass on Old Mill Road. This year that area has been cut but not the path border.
It is a path in constant use as a shortcut to town, schools, etc. as an adult you have to be really careful not to get stung, it is far worse for children due to their height.
I would be grateful if you could pass on my concern to the appropriate department. With the warmer weather it will only get worse.
