Woodhouse Lane

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 19:38, Wednesday 31 May 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4616846.

The entire length of this lane from Wood Orchard Lane to the north right down to the county boundary with Shropshire is a disgrace!!!! It is a designated cycling route and yet has a great many potholes and worsening areas of surface damage which need a thorough examination before a cyclist is seriously injured - not to mention damage to vehicles and tyres etc. About three weeks ago, a team of workmen "repaired" a few of the potholes. Some of these were only partially filled and others completely ignored. I use the word "repaired" in very loose terms, as another local resident described some work fittingly "as though they had been done by a monkey with a bucket of Play Doh". I hope that the truck did not suffer any damage on it's way there and back again! I also suspect that being at the southernmost part of the county, the tarmacadam may well have been cold by the time it reached there. I fully appreciate that this lane is not a main commuter route but drivers seem to spend much of the time concentrating on avoiding potholes etc. PLEASE could someone in authority inspect this route and authorise substantial repairs as soon as possible?
