Collapsing and compromised drainage
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category by Tim Wheatcroft at 13:44, Tue 30 May 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4610852.
On Old Mill road facing j17 estate I saw 13 obviously collapsing and in need of repair drains and 4 failed covers where the cover itself was broken. This causes further incremental damage .considerable amounts of silt build in around 25% of the drains. I trust repairs and cleaning scheduled for next month include addressing all these issues including strengthening the drain foundation. Too many photos to load but please contact me if clarification needed.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We have assessed the issue and added it to our improvement programme for repair over the longer term. This means we are unlikely to do any improvement work here during the current financial year. Our programmes sometimes change if more funding becomes available. You should check our website for any updates. You can find details of the work planned for this location and where it currently sits on the programme through our website: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ road-repair-programme
