Large Branch Fallen From Tree Onto Public Footpath
Reported via mobile in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 11:44, Thursday 25 May 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4594827.
A large rotten branch has fallen from a council adopted red oak tree and narrowly missed a passing pedestrian walking on the public footpath located directly below the tree. This is located on the path which runs between Churchview and Churchfields in Audlem. There is a significant amount of the rotten branch still remaining in the tree which is posing a serious potential injury risk should it fall onto the footpath as pedestrians are currently walking underneath unaware of the hazard above. Please note that people have started scavenging the wood / logs but the photograph shows the full extent of the damage.

We have assessed the issue and it needs to be inspected by a qualified arborist. The time it will take to carry out the inspection will depend on the priorities of the arborist. We will update your report once we have more information.
