50 mph sign has not yet been moved 30 metres towards Moss Lane
Reported via mobile in the Conditions of Signs category by Robert Douglas at 12:38, Fri 19 May 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4573666.
In 2022, Cheshire East Council issued a consultation advising that the 50 m.p.h sign on Macclesfield Road just beyond the entrance to Cranberry Gardens would be moved 30 metres towards Macclesfield. This is clearly a very sensible proposal because some motorists when leaving Congleton as they go up the hill on Macclesfield Road on seeing the current 50 m.p.h. sign, immediately start to accelerate so drive past the entrance to Cranberry Gardens at more than 30 m.p.h making the junction dangerous. Please advise when Cheshire East Highways will enact the very sensible proposal it put forward last year and move the 50 m.p.h. sign 30 metres towards Macclesfield. Many thanks
