Outside Brookside farm, Swineyard Lane
Reported via desktop in the Slurry or Mud on the Highway category anonymously at 08:38, Tuesday 16 May 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4559392.
Mud all over the road continues to be a problem. The trucks from Brookside Farm are doing this. I've seen it repeatedly, reported it repeatedly but nothing is done. When it rains there's dirt and mud flying everywhere and when it dries there's dust blowing everywhere. It seems loads of people have reported this problem but nothing is being done. Again this is not an accusation, I have seen them spreading mud everywhere because they use excessively large trucks. These trucks are now damaging the kerbsides because they are too big for the road.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
State changed to: No further action
