209 Crewe Road
Reported via desktop in the Footway category anonymously at 12:26, Friday 12 May 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4546257.
Drains on Crewe Road directly outside 209, on both sides of the carriageway do not take rainwater away. The water then on the road flows onto the pavement as the pavement is lower then the road. Pedestrians (who are able) cannot use the pavement and instead walk on the grass verges - which is dangerously close to the road, where they get soaked by traffic. With minimal rainfall this pavement becomes unusable and very dangerous. When after hours with no rain the excess water drains away - we are left with a lot of mud and slurry - which has already caused many pedestrians to slip. This has been an issue now for many years - the drains have collapsed!
