Four temporary signs and cones. Two warning of snow and two of slippery road. On the Macclesfield Road between Twemlow and Holmes Chapel.

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4475871.
Two temporary signs for snow and two temporary signs for slippery road, each with a cone. These were put out for winter but surely they can now be removed as it’s spring and they are just cluttering the verges. If signs are required then presumably they can be made permanent and attached to existing posts. Otherwise, temporary signs tend to just get forgotten and litter the roads.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
State changed to: No further action
