This pothole is in the middle of the road and has been deepening over several months. Flag Lane is a very busy road, which vehicles enter at speed. The pothole is constantly being driven into by vehicles, and this causes the houses to shake.

This effect is even worse at night, when drivers accelerate around the corner at speed. The vibrations when vehicles hit the pothole are so intense, it is shaking the furniture inside the houses.

Flag Lane is due to be closed for a further 14 weeks for the new road to be connected. This closure would be a great opportunity to fix the pothole - as when the roadworks are complete, it seems likely that even more traffic will be using this route.
