White lines around roundabout missing / worn away

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 19:20, Wednesday 29 March 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4374292.

Serious accident is going to occur here very soon, particularly when leaving Hungerford Road. Left hand lane entering roundabout is for Sydney or up the bypass to Sandbach, on entering the roundabout there are no white lines visible and cars go straight across the roundabout heading for the exit onto the bypass rather than going 'around' the roudabout. I'm usually in the right hand lane heading for haslington - I can see white lines to my right spiralling out from the centre of the rounabout and I stay in my marked lane spiralling out until I turn off into haslington - the problem occurs at the north end of the roundabout , I'm spiraling out and cars headinf for the bypass literally go straight across as they have no white lines painted on the road. Now sometimes Im in a big van and its just hand on horn from others that think I'm in the wrong, but tonight on my moped I was nearly knocked off by a big bmw 4x4, I used my horn and got some sign language from the BMW driver and he braked to stop mid exit as though he wanted words with me. Problems occur most evenings now on my way home at this location , I should be able to use my moped to go to work and back rather than a large van but I currently do not feel safe doing so.
