Speed bump losing big chunks

This lump of the speed bump was sitting on the pavement a few metres from the bump. It was about size of dinner plate or bigger. Several tennis ball size pieces in the road further along. We’ve placed them in the grass so they don’t cause further damage to cars or a trip hazard to pedestrians. Due to weather and volume of traffic these speed bumps seems to be disintegrating more quickly.
