Dangerous pot hole popped car tyre

Driven through this pot hole yesterday under the bridge qhere it is dark and flooded. Instantly poopped car tyre. Claim has been submitted to the council. This is absolutely dangerous. The edge is over 5 inches deep which has torn my tyre wall. Overall pot hole about 50 cm long.
