On road outside 1A Yew Tree Lane, Poynton and Caretaker’s bungalow opposite.
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 19:27, Sunday 12 March 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4304986.
Other potholes on the same bit of road were repaired by Cheshire East on 18.1.23, by just filling them with a lump of tarmac. Within a few days however, the current potholes started to appear and have now grown much bigger. This is due to the heavy school traffic ie. buses and cars that use the road every week day. Vehicles have to pull out into the centre of the road to overtake any parked cars. The road surface doesn’t seem to be as hardy in the centre of the road, so cracks are appearing and new potholes are constantly forming. Stones are flying up as the vehicles go over them. The stones could hit and damage cars parked in the vicinity. A proper resurfacing job needs to be carried out on this stretch of road, or the same problem will keep arising every few weeks.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
