Two gulley pot issues… Both are full of mud and give no drainage relief. One with yellow plastic incorporated and water on the surface …see photo is collapsed to such an extent that Westleigh and our neighbours houses bounce/shake when heavy goods vehicles go over it. To the extent that shower doors rattle, beds shake, pictures slip etc as well as the noise. Empty wagons generate an even louder noise as they bounce over it, often making a double noise as both axles go over it. This can be heard and felt even from the back of the property. We have multiple local distribution depots and skip hire and tractors that are on this road as well as the usual through traffic operating 24/7. This issue has become significant since Christmas and the condition of the deterioration is only increasing. Please note this gulley pot has caused on going issues for years now and we are relatively tolerant but can you please relocate it out of the road ie incorporate it into the pavement or continue the kerb drainage holes that extends in the Nantwich direction so that the gulley pot is no longer needed. Please consider as I believe this would be a cost effective solution in the long run and certainly a huge improvement for those living in the vicinity.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with gullies based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed this location and it is not considered to present an immediate danger to highway users at this time. We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not visit before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property. You can find out the scheduled visit date by visiting our website: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ highways_and_roads/ road-maintenance/ gullies-and-drains.aspx
