Under the aqueduct Shrigley Road (SK10 5SG)

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 14:31, Tuesday 28 February 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4270918.

These 2 pot holes have become increasingly bigger over the last few months. They are usually full of water due to the wet conditions within the aqueduct. Heading north towards Poynton, the 1st pothole is on the right just after entry. The 2nd is a few yards prior to the exit and appears to stretch across the carriageway. Due to the location, narrowness of the carriageway under the aqueduct it's impossible for drivers to avoid the holes. Additionally, they present a serious hazard to cyclists.
