I made unavoidable contact with the pothole last night at 22.46pm 01/02/2023. There was an almighty bang and the car instantly pulled to the left. I managed to get home and checked the car for damage. The pothole has put an egg on the side of the tyre, damaged the alloy wheel and knocked the tracking out due to the size of the pothole and the raised grid. I have returned this morning to take pictures to evidence it and was told by a council worker 'it should have been fixed weeks ago' The pothole is 40 inches long, 17&1/2 inches wide and 4 inches at its deepest. The egg makes the car now unusual as it is classed as a tyre defect and unroadworthy. The pothole has been reported on a number of occasions within the last week references - 4183253/ 4180790/ 4175019. I will be pursuing the full cost of the damage.
