Lack of signs and paint worn off road surface
Reported via desktop in the Conditions of Signs category anonymously at 21:41, Fri 27 January 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4178230.
Last week numerous vehicles left the road here in the snow. Now I appreciate that it had snowed but due to inadequate signage warning drivers of the bend and with its position on a slope, some drivers were clearly caught out. Thanks to the local farmer who came to the rescue and towed the vehicles out of the ditches and hedge. Please can this be a priority to improve the signage with both roadside furniture signage and chevrons and repainting the slow words and putting back in the white middle of the road lines which have worn away completely, Cat's eyes and anti-skid surface would also be beneficial

We have assessed the issue and added it to our improvement programme for repair over the longer term. This means we are unlikely to do any improvement work here during the current financial year. Our programmes sometimes change if more funding becomes available. You should check our website for any updates. You can find details of the work planned for this location and where it currently sits on the programme through our website: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ road-repair-programme
