I've complained that all the drains were blocked a few months ago, this was rejected saying they were only 80% blocked. However, I disagree, all the drains along this stretch are so blocked the road is flooded. In the ice it was treacherous. Tonight I was walking along the pavement and was literally drowned by a wave of water from a car. I hope CE will pay for my new coat, hat and trousers to be cleaned of this muddy water. The wet is so bad all the road is now breaking apart. If last autumn you had cleaned the drains you now probably wouldn't have a costly bill with the road surface breaking up too.

We deal with gullies based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed this location and it is not considered to present an immediate danger to highway users at this time. We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not visit before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property.
