Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4173690.
The previous repair was done 3-4 weeks ago, to a shoddy standard. The drain grid, which was sinking, was not reset and the thin layer of tarmac laid has already broken off in places, and the remaining covering is also about to disintegrate. As before, traffic is flicking the broken bits up, and also onto the pavement. Please can this problem be fixed properly, to avoid expensive duplication - do it once, do it right.

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
