Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4163180.
I have emails going back to 2020 and 2021 when I last tried to get something done about this on-going problem and there are too many details to list here. It is not just that we have potholes and mud to contend with but flooding on both sides of my drive. The lane is a safety hazard and small cars are in danger of scraping the underside of their vehicles. You cannot see the potholes for the flooding. Pedestrians and neighbours cannot walk down the lane unless they wear wellington boots or try to walk on the verge, but this is now banked up so high with mud that they are in danger of slipping. Friends are averse to driving down the lane to see me and I am widowed and live alone, am approaching 80 this year and this on-going situation is making life difficult. I have been living here for 41 years and when I first came here the lane was hazard free. I was told by a member of your highways team that the drains were old and broken and needed to be replaced, which would certainly help with the flooding and something major need to be done and not just more tinkering round the edges of the potholes. I have emailed my local clerk to the council and will be either writing or visiting my MP, Mr Edward Timpson.
