Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4151329.
This footpath along the A54 just after ashbrooks all the way through to somercord horse stables. Is never maintained. I have lived here for 4 years and when I first came here I reported this problem to cheshire east. It is not suitable to walk along My children have attended congleton high and have attempted to walk along this path over the prior years and it is very dangerous so the one who still remains at school can not walk. In places the path is less then 0.5 of a metre available walking space. This is down to neglecting the highway and verges being allowed to grow over and over the path. As my pictures show I walked this road last week and this just shows how narrow the pavement is. I see people regularly Walking this path from outer congleton to brereton and it is dangerously narrow. Please can some maintenance happen to this footpath to allow residents to safely walk into congleton.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
