Demolished lamp post outside vet surgery

Reported via desktop in the Column Damaged category anonymously at 18:01, Saturday 14 January 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4129150.

This lamp post probably 13 was demolished by a car at the end of December 2022(29th) at 2.45 am The post was removed by Cheshire East next morning and Electricity North west attended and have now filled the hole and capped it with tarmac. Looks like it will not be replaced! The road is already dark with lights only on one side. The corner is now a serious hazard due to lack of lighting. Regular vehicle incidents occur, the road is often used by vehicles travelling well over the speed limit. Is the light being re instated??

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
