On the Styal Rd South bound, opposite the entrance to Quarry Bank and just after the football club

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 19:13, Wednesday 11 January 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4116107.

This is an extensive pothole, that was covered by a puddle. When I drove over it at about 25 mph, it burst my front near side tyre on the inner surface of the tyre wall and damaged the rim of my alloy wheel. Both of these now need replacing and my car is off the road, so I am having difficulty getting to work. I am dismayed to see this was reported as early as 29th Dec 2022 from what I can see on this website.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
