Barely any pavement to walk on from Groby road round to Remer Street

Reported via desktop in the Footway category anonymously at 11:07, Monday 9 January 2023

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4104049.

This short stretch of pavement is covered in overgrown soil /grass. It is very slippy and there is no alternative path. The junction is a busy one and needs the pavement making safe to walk on. This has become worse over the winter. The footprints show how much it is used. The tree overhangs too which makes it difficult terrain.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
