On Wrenbury road, close to the junction of the A530, Whitchurch road
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:58, Fri 6 January 2023
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4094186.
The drains have been blocked for 8 years, causing flooding whenever it rains and in Winter/Spring is constantly under water. This flood, not only destroys the road constantly, but affects the properties nearby, leaving a foul smelling mud when the water subsides. There are elderly residents affected, causing them not to leave the property due to the water or risk of slipping in the mud. The drain (I believe) is blocked under the A530 causing flooding on the opposite side as well, at the junction with Sheppenhall Lane. Cars and lorries swerve to avoid the flood and potholes causing danger to drivers/pedestrians/cyclists alike. Can you please inform the local community when this will be fixed. Thanks.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
