At the start of the back alley at the side of 2 and 4 Chestnut Grove Crewe.

Reported via desktop in the Footway category by Hazel Faddes at 23:30, Sun 11 December 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4029058.

The cover is missing from this utility hole and has been patched with wood which is now missing. This is very dangerous as there are many young children in this street who could easily fall here.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
