Pelican crossing next to Pinewood Hotel near junction of Spath Lane and Wilmslow Road.
Reported via mobile in the Pelican/Toucan Crossings category anonymously at 11:38, Fri 9 December 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4025041.
Cars are ignoring the Pelican crossing and driving through red lights whilst me and my three children are trying to cross. This has happened 4 times to us in the last 4 months. We have narrowly escaped serious injury/ death. Please look at this stretch of road where cars speed and go through lights. A 20 mile per hour limit and warnings on the road would be helpful.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
