Top of Smithy Lane near roundabout
Reported via mobile in the Barriers category anonymously at 13:24, Sat 3 December 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4012517.
When walking towards the hospital crossing Smithy Lane is dangerous as you need to step out into the road before you can see if any cars are coming. A mirror on the lamppost opposite would be beneficial. The crossing point is just at the driveway end of the cottages on the corner. The pavement here is also barley wide enough for one person due to the over grown hedge. This has been an ongoing issue for years however with current road works it is getting more and more dangerous.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
