Sagars Road, passing Queens Terrace and Sagars Mews
Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 14:34, Wed 30 November 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4005839.
The carriageway is in an appalling state of repair. Not only is the surface cracked and chipped but it also has two seriously deep potholes. One such pothole is around a drain or hydrant and the drain or hydrant is standing proud. If a car hits that, or any vehicle, it is going to get damaged. I’ve also noticed and witnessed vehicles swerving around the defects in the carriageway and my concern is that this could lead to a collision with a parked car. The road surface is also cracked up and in places I can feel my standing on it it has sunk.
The carriageway is in serious need of repair as, in its present condition, it is very dangerous to drive over and will only get worse as we enter a period of colder, wet weather.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
