Everytime it rains, the road floods outside our driveway, leaving standing water.This causes a few issues..

Cars swerving to avoid the water. I have witnessed countless near misses for collisions as cars swerve out to avoid the water

Cars not swerving, and driving through the standing water. This sprays the water up over the footpath, and any pedestrians.. This can make getting in and out of my drive a bit precarious, as you have to time it between traffic to avoid getting soaked. This is not ideal. The spray from this standing water also gets sprayed over our vehicles in the driveway everytime a vehicle goes by. Again, this is less than ideal.

There is no drain in the area where the water sits

If this was occasional, during heavy rainfall, it would be understandable, however this happens now everytime it rains.
