Robin Lane - close to the crossroads junction with Walker Lane / Leek Old Road / Bullocks Lane
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 13:34, Wednesday 23 November 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3987125.
Extensive and severe flooding. It has been like this for weeks and it is dangerous to motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, wheelchair users and people with pushchairs. It is almost impassable now on foot. The grass verge is waterlogged and extremely slippy with mud. I'm not sure how a person using a wheelchair would get by or an elderly person with walking aids. The footpath is flooded as well as the road. The road should have been closed to motorists who still insist on using the road. There are other routes people could use. It needs to be drained of water and the problem fixed for good as it always floods here when there is heavy rain.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
