Rat run and cars cut corner of junction

Reported via desktop in the Kerbs category anonymously at 20:03, Friday 11 November 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3957864.

The junction to west end cottages onto st james avenue this road is a "rat run" for cars missing the west road roundabout during busy periods and as the junction is so big cars always cut the corner to turn the junction in doing so always on the wrong side of the road and cutting up other road users the junction either needs a traffic island building or some type of traffic calming measures along st james avenue crescent road

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
