Speed bump outside 85, 87, 104 and 106 Elton Road

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 10:54, Fri 11 November 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3956103.

This speed bump is very close to a number of cottages which are right up against the road. There are no warning road markings on the speed bump, which means that it cannot been seen when cars are travelling down the road. This results in very loud bangs as cars and vans fly over it and it disturbs everyone's sleep. This road is a cut-through to Crewe so is used all night. Please can the speed bump be painted with adequate white markings which should help motorists to slow down before going over it.

Many Thanks

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
