Bus Shekters to the predestrian crossing
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 14:48, Fri 4 November 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3939279.
The road surfacing work carried out by the contractor to put in the pedestrian crossing has left a surface that is in effect rippled not smooth and wasn’t rolled. This is a main road when large vehicle travel at speed. Since this work I can fee the vibration in my house but after they pass on to the road surface that was not affect by the works you get no vibrations. My house was not shaking prio to this pedestrian crossing going in so I request that this section is toped an rolled / rectified as it should have been when the work was first carried out.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
State changed to: No further action
