Road crossing outside Lakeland

Reported via mobile in the Zebra Crossing category anonymously at 08:56, Sat 22 October 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3905970.

The crossing had 4 illuminated poles and yellow globe on the top. One of the poles on the left when looking to Heald Green has been knocked down months ago, I assume that you know about this as the damaged part has been removed and the stump has been taped up. As the signage is not now complete does this not make the crossing unsafe if someone is knocked down. I assume you know about this and possibly have a culprit surely their insurance would cover the repairs, how long does it take.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
