To the right of the drain about 6 inches (facing house)
Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 16:18, Friday 7 October 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3875304.
There is a hole in the road that is against the kerb. The rainwater goes into this hole rather than the drain next to it. This has washed away the foundation of the road. In dry conditions there seems to be a 4in gap between the asphalt and the foundation. This has created a potential sinkhole. The kerb has sunk. If this isn't taken care of a larger sinkhole will develop potentially causing damage to property.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
