Road by 5, 7 and 8 Ellesmere Close
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Lynne Brown at 14:33, Fri 30 September 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3859499.
The road is sinking across from one side to the other and causing flooding across the road into gardens. The depth of the problem is preventing the rain water from running down the grids therefore flooding into the garden of number 8 every time it rains. This has been reported previously and a shovel full of tarmac is not the answer! Also, pedestrians cannot walk in the road as water floods across one side to the other and there are no pavements in this road.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We deal with defects based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time. As the problem you have reported is not causing an immediate safety issue we will now look at the best long- term approach for this location. We keep all roads and highway assets safe through our routine inspections. If anything is identified as a risk during a future inspection, we will take action to deal with it as appropriate.
State changed to: No further action
