Traffic lights at the Aqueduct end of Waterlode, Welsh Row, Taylor Drive.
Reported via mobile in the Permanent Traffic Lights category anonymously at 14:45, Monday 26 September 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3849831.
When travelling by bike along Welsh Row towards the Aquaduct from Nantwich, the duration of the green light for you is inadequate to allow you to cycle safely along the road to emerge under the Aquaduct heading out of Nantwich. Traffic often comes through the lights under the viaduct before you have got through the junction. Cars, lorries and buses think you have 'jumped the lights' and are often impatient or drive close to you to make a point, or shout abuse, or beep their horn, or all 3! Can the duration of green light please be extended when travelling in this direction to allow cyclists to exit the junction safely.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
