Directly opposite number 26 Broad Lane, Stapeley, Nantwich, CW5 7QL

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:41, Thu 22 September 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3841431.

This damaged area and manhole cover has been in dreadful condition for as long as I can remember. The whole area has dropped and the tarmac is very damaged. It is dangerous for motor bikes and cycles as well as 4 wheeled vehicles. The noise from vehicles, especially farm machinery, crashing through it keeps us awake in the night and early morning. The last bag of tarmac dropped onto it was wholly inadequate. There is also a deep build up of pine needles, as you can see from the photos, which will eventually wash across the road and block the drain opposite.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
