Corner House

Reported via desktop in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 16:51, Wednesday 21 September 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3839539.

Corner House have a hedge along the front on Ossmere Lane where it joins Hollyhurst road, the hedge sticks out two foot beyond the house making pulling out of Ossmere Lane on to Hollyhurst road impossible without sticking the nose of the car way across the lane to see if it’s clear. I very nearly had a prang there this morning with a blind car pulling out. The owner has been asked to cut the hedge back but refuses and doesn’t care that it’s causing a problem. He also has white stones along the verge alongside his house on Hollyhurst Road, he removed them briefly when asked to by the council but they weren’t removed for long.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
