Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later.
Council ref: 3823825.
Drivers continue to ignore Highway Code and use left lane to turn right towards westbound A500. Few use signals so driving from the right hand lane with a car in parallel in a dangerous and unnerving experience. Please can CEC Highways look at improving road markings? Either continuous white line indicating one route available from left lane (east bound carriageway), or hatched line indicating route from right lane should exit into right line of west bound carriageway. It’s confusing, dangerous, and needs clarity and resolution. Thanks in anticipation.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
