Traffic light junction where station road intersects with London Road Elworth
Reported via mobile in the Lining category by Councillor Nicola Cook at 17:32, Saturday 13 August 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3751815.
At the top of Station Road there are a set of traffic lights with the intersection of London Road. There is also a pedestrian crossing at the top of this road.
The road markings have completely disappeared therefore when people stop for the traffic lights there is absolutely no indication as to where vehicles should stop. This is significant both for the pedestrian crossing but more importantly when lorries turn left to travel down station road to the various industrial estates, the cars frequently stop at the traffic lights far to near putting both the lorry and the other vehicle driver at serious risk of an incident.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
